On November 18, 2019, at 2:00 pm, the photographic exhibition “Toxic Erotic Games of Violence” will be inaugurated at the headquarters of the Cuban Association of Artisan Artists, in the western city of Matanzas (La ACAA, Matanzas). A concert by singer-songwriter Rochy Ameneiro and her son, young pianist Rodrigo Garcia Ameneiro, will take place at 3:00 pm at the same institution. Ameneiro leads Todas Contracorriente, a musical project aimed at strengthening the culture of peace, and framed in the national campaign against gender violence. García, for his part, is one of the youngest members of the UN System’s Network of Artists UNiTE in LAC in favor of NO violence against women and girls, and Ambassador of the Ibero-American and African Network of Masculinities RIAM. The initiative takes place within the framework of the Day for non-violence, non-discrimination and non-stigmatization organized by the AfroAtenAs project, in its community space Callejón De Las Tradiciones Matanzas. This day, which began on September 30 and will last until December 20, includes spaces for socialization and debate, concerts and exhibitions, as well as training for mothers, fathers, teachers and community actors, among other initiatives.
